Hainanese chicken chop at Tappers is almost as good as that of Yut Kee's

Fancy eating Hainanese chicken chop but hate the queue at Yut Kee? A next-best alternative is Tappers Cafe. Its Hainanese chicken chop (RM12.90) is just one notch below that of Yut Kee's. The dish can be outstanding if the potatoes were softer and the gravy more flavourful. My wife ordered soya chicken rice (RM10.80); my daughter, spaghetti olio mushroom (RM13.50). No complaints from them. Tappers' website sucks, however. You need to download VIO Player to access it.

Decor of the cafe is pleasant and soothing. Black-and-white photographs of colonial Kuala Lumpur adorn one wall and the white rattan chairs contribute to the casual atmosphere.
