Petaling Street's famous Honkee Porridge has opened a branch in Kepong. Air-conditioned, the restaurant is outfitted with black wooden tables and chairs. Offered are raw fish porridge, cooked fish porridge, pork meatball porridge, pork innard porridge, century egg porridge, minced pork porridge, fried intestine porridge, frog porridge, chee cheong fun and several rice dishes. I ate nasi kuning pork curry and theng chai porridge. The latter consisted of porridge garnished with seaweed and strips of cuttle fish -- crispy and flavourful. The pork curry does not sear your tongue and leaves you hankering for more.
Parking is fairly easy during off-peak hours.
